Powerhouse little rods. These guys are for heavy flies and good size fish in all but the most demanding distance situations. The heavier line may actually reduce the need for you to overstress to make a long cast. With this line class, wind is of little consequence. 36 to 38 feet heads are most comfortable as the stiffer rod provides a longer working lever, and manages this length quite will. As a fast and powerful rod, it is a joy to overhead cast and can serve double duty for salt water surf fishing, and even reaching the drop off ledges for creatures from the abyss.
